Venues
The CeremonyWe are very fortunate to be able to hold our wedding in Caroline's home village of Lesbury, at St Mary's Church. St Mary's is a beautiful 12th Century Church which can hold a capacity of around 120 people. We would like to extend our thanks to Canon Brian Cowen for his help and support in preparing for the Ceremony and for allowing us to use this church.
The Reception
A huge thanks must be extended to Caroline's Mother, Eileen, for the enormous amount of work that she has undertaken to prepare for the wedding, and also for the reception to be held at Alnwick Castle, the seat of the Duke of Northumberland.
The castle is one of the oldest and largest in Europe, and is still lived in by the Duke and Duchess. The reception will be held in the Great Hall, and guests will have access to the Gun Battery and the inner-keep.
The World-famous Castle Gardens in particular are worth a visit during the day if you decide to come up on the Friday, or leave on the Sunday.
